Since writing the original post called Privacy in the Age of Big Data, I've found an image and an infographic to compliment the original article.
The cartoon captures the notion of companies who can use big data to rate you as a customer. It's not too far off the mark to think that governments do the same thing. Many countries will not allow you to work there if you do not posses a skill set they need, or a bank account that proves you will not need help from the government.
The Infographic gives you an idea of how much data is generated on the Internet. It is truly staggering.
