My name is Will Adams. I’m an author, publisher, and an online entrepreneur who loves Copywriting, WordPress, and Online Business, but got fed up with awful grammar, WordPress guides that don’t, and promises of overnight fortune and fame from people from the wrong side of the tracks on the Internet.
So I created Rock Solid Info for people who appreciate ‘just-in-time’ learning“. One of my favorite things is helping online publishers, business owners, and others interested in using WordPress to get their message out to their audiences.
I’m always excited to meet people who want to promote their product, idea, or cause with a WordPress website. Got an idea? Get in touch. Let’s talk about it.
The information you’ll find here is Rock Solid because I have the time to make sure it’s right. Most of what I write about falls into these categories:
- Step-by-Step Tips and How-To’s
- Useful Tools to make running your WordPress site easier
- Interesting News about working online
- Honest reviews of products and services
- Business Mindset
- Personal Productivity, and
- How this site is built
You’ll learn what we think, why we think it, and how you can best use it. We hope you enjoy our efforts for you. We hope you will love us if you like us. Call us out if you disagree. Either way, let us know what your opinion is. And if you happen to like us, how about telling your tribe about us? Please Help spread the word about RockSolidInfo.com.
Do you want us to check something out for you? Send us an email. We’ll look into writing about it for you.
So who am I? Glad you asked.
I’m a publisher, author, entrepreneur, recovering perfectionist, and coffee lover based in the Quad-Cities IA/IL, USA.
The Quad-Cities is located on the Mississippi River about 165 miles west of Chicago. It’s an interesting area because half of the QC is in Iowa. The other half, across the river, is Illinois. Another fun thing to keep in mind is the Mississippi River runs East and West through our towns. If you’re on the river, you can watch the sun appear to set into the river. The geography also can mess with the minds of tourists who think the river only runs North and South. But I digress…
This site is for you. It’s built so you can find top quality information about WordPress and how to build a business online. Bookmark it or subscribe to know when we put something new up. I am active on Twitter. I post a quote of the day first thing in the morning, and useful and fun stuff as I find it. It’s one of the best ways to keep up with me. Follow me on Twitter. I’m also working to learn Facebook and Google+. Those links are at the bottom of every page.
My parents worked hard to make sure I grew up “right”. I think I finally got there after some detours;-) I am eternally grateful for how much they loved me and the lessons they “let” me learn, especially from Dad.
Some of the best advice my Dad ever gave me is boiled down to these nuggets.
- Always have more than one source of income.
- Save some money in a “Go to Hell” fund. If you’ll do that, then you can tell your boss to “Go to Hell!” and really mean it.
- And this one made me want to scream every time Dad said it, but I’d give anything to hear him say it one more time (RIP Dad) Some of the best advice he ever gave to me. “You can never should-a.” In his world, either you did something or you didn’t. Nothing in-between mattered or counted.
I’ve done lots of things during my stay here on Planet Earth. Musician, Small Business Owner, Truck Driver, and other stuff. Now I am passionate about is WordPress, Writing, and Online Marketing. It’s a great way to meet and help people worldwide. Plus you can make a few bucks and have a good time too.
I keep a personal blog at WillAdamsOnline if you’d like to see more about what I’m into on a personal level. I’d love to get to know you. Stop by when you have time.
I’d also like to take the time to thank Kathleen, my wife of over 30 years for the love, encouragement, and common sense she brings to my life. She’s definitely the best thing to ever happen to me. My kids too. I’m honored to be your Dad.
